Welcome to my website! I hope it helps you learn more about me and the therapy I offer, and whether you would like to take that first step to getting some support.
I have been practising as a counsellor and psychotherapist on the borders of Hampshire and Surrey for 20 years. I remain passionate about helping children, young people and adults find relief from the stresses and strains they experience in everyday life.
Therapy offers an opportunity to raise self awareness, improve relationships and discover the many solutions available.

Anxiety
Anxiety is a common emotional state characterised by feelings of worry or fear, which can range from mild to severe. It is a normal human response to various life experiences or circumstances, but there are times in our lives when it becomes more problematic to manage - it can interfere with our daily lives & lead to distressing thoughts, avoidant behaviours & uncomfortable physical symptoms like panic attacks.
Counselling and psychotherapy can offer a place to understand the origin of your anxiety, and help you learn techniques to manage the symptoms and feel more in control.
Depression
Depression can be a debilitating experience where it might feel like your thoughts, feelings & behaviours are being controlled by the depression. It can lead to persistent feelings of emptiness, hopelessness, loss of interest in things you once enjoyed & physical symptoms like extensive lethargy or changes in appetite or sleep.
Counselling & psychotherapy can offer a place to gain a deeper understanding of your depression & recognise your triggers or warning signs. Gaining this knowledge enables you to manage the depressive symptoms & regain control over your thoughts & feelings.
Self Esteem
Self esteem or self confidence refers to how we value & perceive ourselves. It's based on our opinions or beliefs about ourselves, formed from early relationships & experiences, which can be very difficult to change.
Living with low self esteem or confidence can feel overwhelming. It can make it hard to thrive, trust our decisions or grow into the person we want to be. We can feel stuck or held back by the difficult thoughts & feelings we carry about ourselves.
Counselling & psychotherapy will help you explore your self perception & understand what & who has an impact on it. By making key changes in circumstances or relationships & challenging the beliefs you have about yourself, you can have a profoundly positive impact on your self worth.
Relationships
Humans rely heavily on relationships to function successfully in the world. Relationships exist within our family, at school, college or in the workplace, with friends & in our romantic world. Sometimes we feel like we have lost connection in our relationships, or the communication has become strained & too difficult to manage. It might even feel some relationships are at breaking point.
Counselling & psychotherapy can help offer you an unbiased & non judgemental space to explore these relationships, find the ruptures & look to repair them. Therapy can enhance the ability to communicate & connect with the important people in your world.
